Hair tourniquet syndrome is rare. This syndrome may ocur in different parts of the body, particularly in toes, fingers, penis and clitoris. It can lead to serious complications such as tissue loss. Sometimes the only symptom may be irritability, so this should come to mind in infants brought with this complaint. In this presentation, we aimed to investigate a baby case whose right foot had a hyperemia, swelling and a tourniquet attached to the hair strand in the distal phalanx.
