Weakness or paralysis of hip abductor muscle may be seen following the poliomyelitis. Muscle transfer is an efficient and important surgical technique for abductor muscle weakness of hip. External oblique muscle transfer to the greater trochanter is a commonly applied tecnique. In this article, 22 years-old man with abductor weakness of hip after the poliomyelitis who had external oblique muscle transfer was discussed under the light of the literature.
