A 69-years-old man with hypertention since 15 years who had suffered visual loss was examined in Ophthalmology Department of Pamukkale University. On physical examination, angioid streaks in both eyes and 8-10 yellowish papules on both cruris anterior and on the left popliteal fossa were seen. Microscopically, there were degenerative calcified elastic fibers in the middle and deep dermis. This case presents typical eyes and skin findings of PXE. PXE is a rare, inherited systemic disorder. Recognition of this disease is essential for proper genetic counseling of surviving family members.©2005, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi
