Basal cell adenoma is an uncommon epithelial neoplasm of the salivary gland and subtype of salivary monomorphic adenoma which most commonly arising in the parotid glands. Basal cell adenoma usually affects older persons. This tumour may be bilateral when lokalized in the parotid gland. The cellular origin of this tumour is not known exactly. The treatment is surgical exicision of the tumour. We treated surgically a patient with large basal cell adenoma lokalized on the left parotid gland (8x7x6 cm), and reviewed literature about this tumour. ©2006, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi
