The Evaluation of The Skin Findings of 150 Newborns at Elazıg Region |

Objective: We aim to investigate the skin findings of newborns at Elazıg in this study.
Materials and methods: One hundred and fifthy babies born in Elazığ were evaluated according to dermatological findings in the first three days after birth. Results: The skin findings detecting in the newborns were as follows: Salmon patch (41, 3%), mongolian spot (40%), toxic erythema (20%), desquamation (12%), miliaria (8%), lumbosacral bristle (6, 6%), cutis marmorata (4, 6%), miniature puberty (1, 3%), telengiectasy (1, 3%), anonichia (1, 3%), nevus spilus (0, 6%), congenital melanocytic nevus (0, 6%), congenital epidermolysis bullosa (0, 6%) and congenital Rubella (0, 6%). Conclusion: The different skin findings, detected in the newborn period, can be temporary or permanent.
