Fractures, soft tissue injuries and loss of tissue are common in maxillofacial traumas. Foreign bodies may remain under the skin and deep tissue as a result of injury depending on the type of trauma. Foreign bodies may not be visible on imaging depending on their content and may appear as a focus of infection after days. In our case, who applied to our clinic after 45 days, wooden pieces were found in the periorbital region during the operation performed for fracture. Purulent fluid around the wooden pieces caused fistula formation on the skin. The contaminated area was irrigated, and all foreign bodies were removed. Especially wooden foreign objects that can be invisible during imaging should be kept in mind, the story during the trauma should be examined, and it should not be forgotten that foreign bodies may remain under the skin.
