Myiasis Cases Based on Basal Cell Carcinoma and Amputation Stump

Dermal myiasis is an infestation that occurs by flies larvae, involving necrotic or intact skin. myiasis cases appears uncommon in our country. We present this study two myiasis cases, one has occured on left cheek based on basal cell carcinoma and the other one in below-knee amputation stump after protesis irritation. With regard to myiasis few cases have been reported in literature. However, no case was reported at amputation stump. After we are administrated 2 % prilocaine to these cases, larvae were spontaneous left from wound ©2007, Firat University, Medical Faculty
